Another innovative industry first from the leader in Email Marketing....

The top five reasons you need this service:

1) Unconfirmed lists have 90% more deliverability problems.

2) Return (bounce) rates drop dramatically after confirming your list.

3) Confirmed opt-in is the gold standard for list management practices.

4) Many unconfirmed lists have "land mine" addresses that often cause you to be blacklisted.

5) Inbox rates skyrocket after confirming a list due to ISP's see your clean deliveries

What is ListConfirm?

It is a service designed to help professional list owners confirm their lists to confirmed-opt-in (also known as verified-opt-in.) Over the years we have found that at least 75% of professionally managed mailing lists considered "clean" by the list owner are in fact very dirty -- and so dirty that several of the domains on that list have been dead for years. That is simply a fact of life that many list owners realize yet few of them have the resources available to clean their list properly. ListConfirm will quickly help you re-confirm your list so you can keep the confirmed addresses and throw away the un-confirmed or dead addresses.

What is "confirmed opt-in" and why do I need it?

A Confirmed opt-in mailing list means that everyone on that list has subscribed AND then confirmed their subscription by clicking on a link in a subsequent "please confirm you subscription" message they receive. This "closed loop" process guarantees that everyone on your list is a valid subscriber and it makes it impossible for a fake address to be seeded onto your list. You need to convert your list to a confirmed-opt-in format because these days ISP's monitor how many bounces, complaints, and general problems you create for them. The more trouble you cause for the ISP, the more motivated they will be to block you.

Once your list is confirmed you will notice your hard bounce rates (user unknown / host unknown) are practically zero and your complaint rates almost vanish and your delivery-to-the-inbox rates are at the highest point ever.

Why can't I re-confirm my list myself?

Chances are that if you have been mailing to a dirty list in the past - your reputation is already shot. Most ISP's keep tabs on bad mailers and judge them based on their bounce rates and low open rates (based on volume sent per your servers.) Your mail may already have triggered a "D.O.A." cycle (delete upon arrival) in many of the smaller ISP's so trying to re-confirm your own list will have lower results. ListConfirm has already been in contact with ALL of the major ISP's and many of the second-tier and corporate domain holders to allow messages to pass cleanly through their gateways. This gives you a MUCH better chance at reaching your subscribers and getting them to re-confirm their subscription.

Can I use you to re-confirm my list then just continue to mail in-house?

Unfortunately, no. The purpose of this service is to help you fix your list problems and professionally manage your subscribes, unsubscribes, and mailings. Using us to just fix your problems while you continue non-confirmed opt-in practices is only a temporary fix and brings you no long-term benefits. If you use us to fix your list problems, collect subscribers in a confirmed opt-in manner, plus manage your outbound mailings - the end result is the best delivery rates you have ever seen.

Is this just another name for "List Washing" that spammers do?

No, they are totally different. Before we even accept a client onto our service we conduct an extensive investigation into their list, current and former practices, as well as conduct an investigation into their history. Spammers are very easily detected during the investigation phase and are quickly turned away. If we find that the spammer is wanted in connection with some Federal or State crime (we check the NCIC) we will turn that spammer over to the authorities. We take extreme care to analyze the list of all applicants prior to opening an account. If we spot typical or cleverly disguised signs of harvesting, the account will not be opened. List washing is when a spammer conducts a huge spam run and discards the addresses that bounce and continues to spam the non-bouncers. That's not what we do.

Can I make your re-confirmation message also a sales/marketing message?

Absolutely not. The re-confirmation message you send through this service can ONLY be used to ask your members to re-confirm their subscription, and nothing more. Trying to "sell" people while re-confirming their subscription is similar to spamming because you do not know if those people on your list are true subscribers. A confirmation message is short and to-the-point and serves the sole purpose of just getting your subscriber to confirm their subscription.

Will I lose a big percentage of my list to non-confirms?

It depends on your list. If your list has been dirty for many years, it's very likely you will see a significant drop in your overall list size. But....that is a good thing because those people who do not confirm are simply not interested in what you have to say or sell, and, may already be bouncing anyway so you are simply throwing away the dead, old, or un-interested subscribers. We found that 45% of people who want to be removed from a list often just create a ruleset to delete your mail upon arrival instead of asking to unsubscribe. So losing a big chunk of addresses on your list is GOOD because those people do not care to receive your material anyway. It's no different than talking to a group of people in a busy room. The people who are interested will listen to you and those that are "hearing" you but not interested will not tell you so, they will just ignore you. Re-confirming your list will simply carve out those people who are not interested in hearing from you.

Will I get a lot of complaints from my re-confirm mailing?

That depends on your past mailing practices. If you have been not been removing your unsubscribers and/or complaints then you will get some complaints. We will gather up the complaints for you along with the unsubscribers and will make sure they do not receive any future mail from you again. You may get some complaints but that pain is only a one-time event. The future mailings you send will have a much more positive result.

What does the service cost?

The initial setup of your account is $199.00. If you design the re-confirmation message then the only other fee is the per-message delivery fee which is $0.00325 with a $69.00/month minimum (this is an annual service.) If we design the re-confirmation message then the design charge is between $150-$500.00 depending on the amount of time and revisions needed. This is one of the most cost-effective ways of bringing your list back into compliance with industry standards!
